Introduction
In Bangla Language and Literature papers, the নির্মিতি (Composition / Nirmiti) section is where you produce language rather than merely recognise it. Government job exams (BCS Written, Bank, IT-officer, NTRCA, primary teacher) regularly set marks on অনুবাদ (translation), ভাব-সম্প্রসারণ (idea-expansion), সারাংশ / সারমর্ম (summarising), রচনা / প্রবন্ধ (essay), পত্র ও দরখাস্ত (letters and applications) and প্রতিবেদন (report). These items are format-driven: examiners award marks for a correct structure, appropriate register and clean handwriting/spelling — so a candidate who learns the templates and the do/don't rules can score almost full marks reliably. This lesson gives you first-principles technique plus ready model samples for every sub-type.
This is primarily a Bangla-content lesson; the Bangla body (
body_bn) is the full teaching text and the English here is the parallel supporting version.
Learning objectives
- Translate accurately in both directions (Bangla↔English) keeping meaning, tense and idiom.
- Define and perform ভাব-সম্প্রসারণ with the three-part method (মূলভাব → সম্প্রসারিত ভাব → মন্তব্য).
- Distinguish সারাংশ (for prose) from সারমর্ম (for verse) and write both to one-third length.
- Lay out a রচনা/প্রবন্ধ with a proper skeleton (ভূমিকা → মূল অংশ → উপসংহার).
- Reproduce correct formats for আবেদনপত্র, ব্যক্তিগত পত্র, মানপত্র and দরখাস্ত.
- Write a প্রতিবেদন in the standard news/institutional layout.
- Avoid the common register, format and length mistakes that cost marks.
