Introduction: what this topic is and why it matters
Almost every Bangladeshi government job examination (BCS Preliminary, Bank officer, IT/Assistant Programmer, NTRCA, Railway, and general Combined recruitment) reserves a block of marks for IT full-forms (acronyms) and MS Office / office-productivity questions. These are pure "recall + light reasoning" marks: if you memorise the tables in this lesson and understand a few worked Excel examples, you can secure them with almost no risk.
An acronym is a short form built from the first letters of a group of words (for example, RAM from Random Access Memory). MS Office (Microsoft Office) is the world's most widely used office suite — Word for documents, Excel for spreadsheets and calculation, PowerPoint for presentations. Productivity tools are the software applications that help us create, edit and share office documents efficiently.
This lesson is built as a set of exam-ready reference tables plus fully worked Excel examples, keyboard shortcuts, and file-format facts, in an easy-to-hard order.
