This question was set in February 2023. At that time Bangladesh's cyber-security law was the Digital Security Act, 2018 (ডিজিটাল নিরাপত্তা আইন, ২০১৮; Act 46 of 2018, dated 8 October 2018). It was enacted to ensure digital security and to detect, prevent, suppress and try offences committed through digital media. The law actually titled "Cyber Security Act" (সাইবার নিরাপত্তা আইন, ২০২৩; Act 39 of 2023) was passed only on 18 September 2023, seven months after this paper, and it repealed the 2018 Act. So, for this paper, the expected year is 2018.
Why the other options are wrong

Exam note: The stem says "Cybersecurity act", but no law of that name existed when this paper was set, so it means the Digital Security Act 2018. The full sequence, as of October 2026: Digital Security Act 2018 → repealed by the Cyber Security Act 2023 (Act 39 of 2023) → repealed by the Cyber Security Ordinance 2025 (Ordinance 25 of 2025) → repealed and re-enacted as the Cyber Security Act 2026 (সাইবার সুরক্ষা আইন, ২০২৬; Act 81 of 2026, 10 April 2026), amended by the Cyber Security (Amendment) Act 2026 (Act 99 of 2026, 1 July 2026). The ICT Act 2006 is still in force, with its sections 54–57 and 66 deleted. In a paper set after September 2023, "the year of the Cyber Security Act" would be 2023; "the cyber law in force now" is the 2026 Act.
