How many IT posts did the Bankers' Selection Committee advertise in 2026?

About 580 in the two circulars, 04/2026 (1 January 2026) and 260/2026 (29 July 2026). A later BSC notice changed some of the January counts, so the exact current total differs a little from the circulars; each post's job page shows the count we have on record. Officer (IT) is the largest group in both circulars, followed by Senior Officer (IT).

When is the exam for the July 2026 BSC IT posts?

Not announced yet (checked 17 October 2026). Circular 260/2026 says the exam content will be published later. We add the date to the exam calendar (/exam-calendar) when BSC publishes it.

What is the exam pattern for BSC Officer (IT) and Senior Officer (IT)?

In BSC's recent IT notices: a 100-mark, one-hour MCQ with Bangla 10, English 10, mathematics 10, general knowledge 10 and the IT subject 60, with 0.25 deducted per wrong answer, then a 200-mark written test (source: BSC notice 256/2026). Assistant Programmer and AME / AE (IT) papers give the subject 75 of 100 MCQ marks, with mathematics 15 and general knowledge 10 (BSC notices 08/2026 and 22/2026).

Who could apply for the BSC 2026 IT posts?

Graduates with a relevant four-year bachelor's (honours) degree, such as computer science, CSE, EEE, ICT or software engineering, depending on the post. The January circular also asked for at least one first division or class from SSC onward, no third division or class, and an age of 21 to 32 on 1 July 2025 for its first six posts. The official circular for each post has the full rules.

Can I still apply?

No. Applications for the January circular closed on 1 February 2026 and for the July circular on 1 September 2026, both at 11:59 pm. You can prepare now with past BSC papers and get the exam date when it is announced.

Which banks are the posts for?

State-owned and specialised banks and financial institutions that recruit through BSC: Sonali, Agrani, Rupali, Bangladesh Development Bank, Bangladesh Krishi Bank, Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank, Probashi Kallyan Bank, Karmasangsthan Bank and Ansar-VDP Unnayan Bank, plus ICB and, in January, BHBFC.
